Please describe your proposal?
I am primarily a paper and glass artist. I propose to create a floor to ceiling multi-layered piece that would be up to 30' deep. The piece would be completely white on white and full of shadows from the interaction of light through the paper cuts. The pattern of the work will be simple yet the layers and shadows make it very complex. I have done such work on a much smaller level (4'x3'x1') but think this piece would be an amazing endeavor for me artistically and intellectually. I would find a place to exhibit the work and could possibly also show it outside of Ohio.

What is the timeframe for the proposal and its completion?
Cutting paper is a very time consuming art. I would hope to have the piece done by the end of summer. How will you use the award money to complete the proposal? The money will be spent on large quantities of paper and xacto blades.

What makes this the proposal to vote for?
My work has come very far in just the matter of 1 year. I think this piece could push me to making the work that is my potential. A major project like this will attract larger galleries from other cities to show my work. I think this project is very ambitious but those that know me an my work know that I consistently set goals that push me and I also consistently meet them.
